Charles Nii Ayiku Ayiku

Practice Head, Social & Digital Communications

Charles Nii Ayiku Ayiku is a skilled and qualified Public Relations, Information Technology and Journalism Professional with an excellent and successful track record in teaching, consulting, media relations, developing strategic alliances, planning and execution of campaigns and in developing innovative strategies for internet and web-enhanced public relations amongst others for over twenty (20) years.

Nii Ayiku is currently a Lecturer at the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA). Before joining UPSA, he was a Civil Servant at the Communications Bureau of the Office of the President of the Republic of Ghana and a Deputy Head of Public Affairs at the Council of State.

He holds an MA in Public Relations, MBA in MIS and an MA in Distance Education and Electronic Learning. He also has a Post-Graduate Certificate in Public Administration and Mass Communication.

Nii Ayiku is an Accredited Public Relations Practitioner and a former Executive Council Member of the Institute of Public Relations (IPR) Ghana where he Chaired the Research and New Media Committee and also facilitates the Professional Accreditation examination of IPR, Ghana.

He is a Member and Technical Advisor of the Ghana Journalists Association and the Course Administrator of the GJA- Media Response Virtual Learning Platform.

He is a member of several professional bodies, including the Internet Society of Ghana, Ghana Journalists Association, the International Webmasters Association, USA, The South Africa Communication Association and the Chartered Institute of Journalists, UK. He is a trained Digital Marketing and Business Process Management Specialist from the IBM Africa Academy.

He is a Consulting Team Member and an adjunct lecturer at the Laweh Open University College, Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ), Jayee University College, Wisconsin International University College, The Chartered Institute of Marketing, Ghana (CIMG) and a Visiting Lecturer at the Department of Communication and Media Studies (Graduate programme) of the University of Education Winneba.
