Kojo Ackaah-Kwarteng

Practice Head, Media Relations

Kojo Ackaah-Kwarteng is a Duetsche Welle and BBC trained broadcaster with almost three decades experience in media, Marketing communications and Organization Development (OD). Kojo has practiced PR/Communications with several local and international entities like Sifca (GREL) and a USAID funded project.

Kojo has been the Executive Secretary of the Institute of Public Relations (IPR) and the Advertising Association of Ghana (AAG) working with the Executives of these Institutions.

Kojo’s experience cuts across several industries having worked in the journalism, media, communications, advertising, business and marketing world. He cut his teeth in broadcast-journalism and broadcasting at GBC in the 90s and enjoyed the last bit of the shortwave era as Ghana transited to the Frequency Modulation (FM) era in the mid-90s.

He has since pioneered the setting up and managing of a couple of radio and TV stations across the country exiting as the CEO of the Class Media Group recently.

Kojo is a PhD Fellow of the Cass European Institute of Management in Luxembourg where he researched into the strategies in the business of the radio and TV industry in Ghana.

Kojo has over six years’ experience in academia where he has been teaching Marketing courses like Customer Care, Branding, Advertising etc. apart from courses in PR and Journalism.

He is also the Head Pastor of the King’s Court Chapel as well as the Group Founder of the Barak Group and Jilord Mediaworld Limited.

Kojo has served on some boards and consults for some organizations in the area of Marketing Communications and OD.

He specializes in Public Affairs, Strategic Communications, Knowledge sharing, Strategic Business Modules, Media (Radio & TV) Content designs and Media (Radio & TV) Business Strategies.
